As you know I work remotely and that means mostly from home. As much as I love my new home office and am attending a lot of meetings (so interacting with other human beings) I do miss the little office buzz sometimes.
I was very lucky and got a lovely present this Christmas. As I have a lot of meetings and carry my laptop around (usually in a big handbag) I was given a perfect laptop – but still – handbag. So it’s not the usual laptop bag where you can store your laptop and that’s pretty much it or big handbag which is not made to carry a laptop and you can destroy it very quickly.
New Year’s resolutions can be a bit of cliche, but I think that having a few is important. They can be just little ones, like reading or cooking more. But there can be big ones too like getting a new job or saving money of a new car/house deposit etc.
The first winter day is now waaay behind us. The days are shorter, nights are colder. In fact, the days are cold too!
My sister and brother-in-law have been going through the process of buying their first home for the past two months. On Friday, they received the keys! That meant that I jumped on the train and went to see them ASAP! What I didn’t expect was that my sister had bought lots of paint and planned for me, her and her husband to spend some time painting – she doesn’t waste any time does she!
There are many advantages of working from home – as well as there are disadvantages of course! But looking at the bright side, I’ve listed five things that I’ll be saving on when working from home.
